• Belem was Ordered December 23, 1895 by Denis CROUAN Armament and son at the site DUBIGEON Nantais. Launched on 10 JUIN 1896, it was intended to trade with the West Indies and has long carried the cocoa powder for chocolate MILLER.

• All steel constructed, it measured 58 meters in overall length, was equipped with a wing of 1200 m2, and was led by 16 crew.

• Sold in 1914 to the Duke of Westminster, it undergoes various transformations, was sold and renamed FANTOM II and Giorgio Cini.

• The Savings Bank redeems the Italians in 1977 and donated to the Belem Foundation transforms boat school.

• So far based in Nantes, its home port.
